MCPF COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS GRANT PROGRAM

Picture
BUILDING TRUST.
The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation (MCPF) believes that strong community partnerships should be a core principle in modern day policing practices.

Therefore, we are proud to offer grants to Minnesota police departments to help them advance community partnerships and deepen their trust with the public. This includes strong relationships with the business community, residents, youth and community organizations.

Community trust building programs require funding and resources that many police departments simply do not have.

MCPF is stepping in to fill that gap. With your support, MCPF will help local police departments engage through community relations projects, surveys, programs, and initiatives that build trust, transparency and strong relationships.
In 2024, The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation is proud to have funded 39 community partnership grants to support 48 agencies, disbursing over $80,000 in grant funding.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 grant season. Apply now!

2025 Grant Application Now Open!

The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation (MCPF) is proud to support police departments across Minnesota in advancing community partnerships and strengthening public trust through the Community Partnerships Grant Program.

The goal of the program is to support, supplement, initiate, or accelerate a department’s efforts to engage with the community in meaningful ways. All events, projects, programs, or initiatives submitted for consideration must aim to build relationships, trust, transparency, cooperation, or partnerships with the communities served.

In 2024, MCPF awarded $81,400 in Community Partnerships Grants to 48 departments across the state. Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation will continue to offer additional grant opportunities in the future.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 grant cycle! The deadline to apply is Friday, September 12, 2025.

The MCPF Board of Directors will review submissions and announce funding decisions by the end of October. Grant checks will be mailed in early November. A total of $100,000 in funding is available for this cycle.

For detailed information on eligibility and criteria, download the information packet. If you have any questions, please email Executive Director Jeff Potts or Associate Director Aimee Schroeder.
